| ¡¤ Application |
TOWREX AF450 is a
concentrate containing a highly effective blend of
antifogging agents for PP films and wide food contact approvals.
|
| TOWREX AF450 is incorporated
into the polymer matrix during the extrusion process. Upon extrusion
the additive migrates to the surface of the polymer where AF450 is increasing the surface tension of the polymer. A small
quantity of the AF450 dissolves in the water droplet and decreases
the surface tension of water. At one point the surface tension
of the polymer and the surface tension of the water are equal
so that the water droplet is spread into a continuous layer
of water, which is not wisible anymore. |

| AF450 is recommended
to add at a concentration of 0.5 ~ 1.0% into core layer in 3-layer
BOPP films. |
